Buy mode from 10\/21\/22 signal date, but S&amp;P 500 below 20-day ema which is a potential sell signal&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our timing model was designed to keep our trades in line with the prevailing market trend, not to call tops or catch bottoms in S&amp;P 500 or Nasdaq Composite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><strong><em>today&#8217;s watchlist along with open and closed positions:<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"$todays watchlist\" src=\"https:\/\/www.morpheustrading.com\/~rick\/\/charts\/2021\/221212list.png\" title=\"\">&nbsp;<br \/><br \/><a><strong><em>position notes:<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Per intraday alert, sold $PI.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$GFS buy stop triggered.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><strong><em><strong><em><a><strong><em>Commentary:&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stocks failed to impress after a two-day bounce off the swing lows in the major averages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The S&amp;P 500 broke its uptrend line and closed below the 20-day EMA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lower prices can be expected unless the price can retake the 20-day EMA this week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"$S&amp;P 500 daily\" src=\"https:\/\/www.morpheustrading.com\/~rick\/\/charts\/2021\/221212SPX.png\" title=\"\">&nbsp;The Nasdaq 100 is more of a chop fest on the daily.&nbsp; Needs to reclaim the 20-day EMA within the next few days.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.morpheustrading.com\/~rick\/\/charts\/2021\/221212NDX.png\" alt=\"$Nasdaq 100 daily\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy ETF $XLE sliced through the 50-day MA and is likely headed for the 200-day MA.&nbsp; Energy is no longer a leading industry group.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.morpheustrading.com\/~rick\/\/charts\/2021\/221212XLE.png\" alt=\"$XLE  daily\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Semiconductor ETF $SMH is one of a few sector or industry-based ETFs still trading above its 20-day EMA .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.morpheustrading.com\/~rick\/\/charts\/2021\/221212SMH.png\" alt=\"$SMH  daily\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>$GFS is one of the stronger semiconductor stocks along with $MTSI, $ON, and $ACLS.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Our buy stop was triggered last Friday.&nbsp;
