By selling out of all but one position on Thursday, we were able to hit the reset button in the model portfolio and start from scratch. We had too much exposure to growth names that weren’t moving as expected off support or failed recent breakout attemts.

With growth still on break, our scans are focused on non-growth names trading in a tight range within 15% of a 52-week high. We are still looking for quality basing patterns as we did with $CPE, but earnings will not factor into stock selection.
